How are the Past, Present, and Future Synergy Opportunities hones Strategy?

In my views, strategy is the thinking task, whoever thinks right thrives! How is to think right? The thinking process is shown from stage-1 of the High-Performance Thinking Process, it is the process scrutinizing three stage experiences, the past, present, and the future. In the first case, some Leaders reproduces their past experiences in crafting their solutions, therefore in stage-2 they strategize using problem-solving strategies – which is a “firefighting” policy doing business by solving problems as they come. This kind of thinking is scorned by most of the great thinkers like Albert Einstein who posited “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results”. It is a very strong observation, but true and there are plenty Leaders pursuing this strategy, for example some firms are tied in difficult and barren business, no progress, only managing a hand to mouth, but they are there to stay. In the second thinking process Leaders learns lessons noticed from their past experiences thus improving techniques in solving the current challenges they face. Strategically they are producing creative-problem solving methods. In creative-problem solving leaders examines root causes of problems they face intending to rectify future solutions. In the last thinking process are best Leaders who learn from the past and integrates the network generated in the course of furnishing solutions in the past. Moreover, they scrutinize precisely enough to identify the future customer aspirations in a way that they furnish best solutions to challenges they face and to methods during crafting new artefacts. Think of Apple Inc. (smartphones and computers pioneer), they integrated their past experiences using their best network and available synergies during deciphering customers aspirations, that lead to best sellers products iPhones models. This is the furnishing solutions to problems strategy encompassing all threes period opportunities viz. the past (for an accumulation of experiences, the network acquire), the future (deciphering the empowering customer’s aspirations), and the present (cognizing the current opportunities) thus securing making best artefacts.

In the three strategies, there is flexibility in controlling business situations depicted by Kuhn-Cycle shown in stage-3 Enterprise Decision-Thinking (EDT) along Kuhn-Cycle. Leaders in the strategy composed of replicating their past experiences never think of changing according to business paradigms, they are rigid making them vulnerable to liquidation especially when there is a business paradigm-shift. In the second strategies where Leaders simply improving their past experiences without focus to the future demands, also, faces susceptibility to failure, however in a longer time as compared to Leaders who replicates their past experiences alone. In the last strategy composing of great Leaders are the most flexible and resilient in doing business by controlling fully the Kuhn-Cycle, they change according to the business demands, furnishes great artefacts empowering customers.

From these three strategies, logically every Leader is supposed to execute the third option, however it is not automatic, a reasonable and indispensable investment is required, especially in Self-Development Link aiming at improving the thinking process, which commands both the strategizing process and control of the Kuhn-Cycle.
