Seven-Links Model Solutions

7-Links Model Solutions ventures efficaciously business solutions that optimizes workforce, business, and synergy themes; inventing solutions by amalgamating discovered themes, moreover innovating into an emotional product through Research and Development (R&D) Theme. 7-Links Model Solutions underlines the essence of R&D in business simulating the blood in animals for any business. It deals with furnishing-solutions to problems rather than resolving problems.

Furnishing -solution to problems differs from resolving a problem by great margins, because the former focuses on securing resolutions into three levels viz. the big-picture, holistic-linking-details, and the details, while resolving problems deals with the details only. However, in describing resolutions procedure above we used the term big-picture which is the actually a buzzword at the moment, thus disguising the true meaning we need to imply here viz. the essence of the whole entity under scrutiny. Under these circumstances we proposed a new term instead of big-picture as EDT (Enterprise Decision-Thinking); therefore compiling a new resolution trinity levels as EDT > EDT Atomistic - Links > Atomistic (Detail). With EDT we mean looking at an entity under investigation into a holistic functioning situation rather than a big-picture term which is vague, sometimes means using mind-maps and on other uses as a panoramic-view etc. On EDT-Atomistic Links we mean emotional inventions (aspirations), process inventions, and functional inventions  perspectives; and the detail part pursue fundamental setups – which is usually conspicuous to both management and/or leadership and subordinates such as a failures (e.g. broken bridge, a conflict, a war), a success (e.g. high profits, silverware won) etc. In most cases resolving problems entails a third level i.e. an atomistic (detailed) level, some literatures of problem solving pursues further up to some EDT-Atomistic attributes but not as discussed in 7-Links Model, however, it does not cover EDT. In a schematic view starting with a thinking process (the key problem solution furnisher) we depict the complete scheme from here.

Moreover, 7-Links Model is composed of Emotional Invention (EInv), Process Invention (PI) and Functional Invention (FI) solutions held together to get an Emotional Product (EP) which is shown in figure-1.

From figure-1, EDT means an Emotional Product solution at the centre (an innovation act), for EDT- Atomistic Links implies Emotional Invention (EInv), Process Invention (PI), and Functional Invention (FI) resolutions, while Atomistic (Detail) resolutions constitutes  the remote triangle comprising of Workforce Discovery, Business Discovery, and Synergy Discovery resolutions. During Innovation process we distinguish creation or diagnosing practices which are iterative (up and down) until the balance is reached, it simulates a hen and the egg problem – also found in most engineering designs activities, such as a multi-storey building, an engineer can start from top to down acquiring the total load precisely, however, the foundation at the building’s base might not sustain the load achieved, calling for another iteration until harmonization of all parts reached. This technique applies to the 7-Links Model which demands an enterprising-thinking activity on how to initiate the procedure until harmonization of business-discoveries to business-inventions, and to business-innovations as shown in figure-1.

From this discussion we posit that 7-Links Model is a problem solution-furnisher because it includes EDT (Enterprise Decision-Thinking) first, that’s why it dispenses both business creation and diagnosis resolutions interchangeably; this capability engraves it to stand-out of business promoting tools. In high-performing business activities, decision-making and problem solution furnishing function together such that, decision-making precedes solution-furnishing procedure. The main difference between problems solution-furnishing to resolving problem is on the processes involved, i.e. in the former applies EDT-analysis-synthesis, and while the later encompasses analysis only. Contemplating problem synthetic vs. analysis graphics we distinguish three states of problem resolutions viz. problem solving, creative problem solving, and furnishing solutions to problems. Problem solving is a direct solution to challenges we face; this is actually a quick-fix, i.e. repairing the problem and resume work, example a 4D-problem solving method. Creative problem solving considers synthesis of the problem in a bigger view exposing inbound root-causes for refinement, so that problem recurring is inhibited preferably in a medium range, for example an 8D-problem solving method. Furnishing solutions to problems entails systemic problem thinking such that both the problem’s inbound and outbound root causes are uncovered to be terminated in a long range performance, for example 7-Links Model.
